Job Summary

The Key and Vulnerable Populations constituency to the Stop TB Partnership Board is seeking to recruit a Constituency Focal Point (CFP) on a consultancy basis to support the work of the Delegation, build and maintain the Delegation’s communication channels, and facilitate the Delegation’s advocacy and outreach to accelerate the efforts to expand the constituency and maximize the positive change the constituency is expected to bring to the Stop TB Partnership Board.

 

Tasks

The CFP is expected to implement the following activities, in coordination with and under the guidance of the Delegation’s leadership, consisting of the Board Members (BMs) and the Alternate Board Member (ABM):

  • Coordinate administration and day-to-day operations of the Delegation
  • Support the Delegation’s leadership in their functions and mandates
  • Lead communications support to the work of the Delegation
  • Support the Delegation during official Delegation meetings and events
  • Ensure timely dissemination of information and documentation related to the Board meetings with the Delegation and broader constituency
  • Maintain membership of the constituency and tenure of Delegation members
  • Ensure wider communication with the TB Key and Vulnerable Population constituency, other civil society constituencies and other partners
  • Support resource mobilization processes and efforts
  • Submit monthly progress reports
  • Operate and use resources and supplies to maximize cost efficiency
  • Carry out other activities as required.

 

Qualifications

The CFP should meet the following criteria:

  • University degree or commensurate training and experience in project management, communication, social sciences, human rights, law or other relevant fields
  • At least five years of professional experience in project management or advocacy and communication
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English; knowledge of another UN language is a plus
  • The ability and capacity to communicate and network effectively and broadly (must have good knowledge of Communication channels and tools)
  • Experience in project and financial management, writing reports and communication materials
  • Excellent computer and administrative skills
  • Ability to work with people of different backgrounds and time zones
  • Experience working with community and civil society organizations, preferably at the regional or international level
  • Ability to make various international travel engagements to meetings with advance and/or little notice
  • Knowledge in basic website management and social media marketing and management
  • Experience in developing and managing communication campaigns in the health and social sector

Level of effort

The position requires up to 50% workload (or 20 hours a week).

 

Budget

The CFP will be recruited for 6 months (from August,2024 to January.2025). The contract is subject to renewal based on satisfactory performance.
