DEVELOPING COUNTRY NGO AWARDED AS BEST CONSTITUENCY IN THE GLOBAL CATEGORY WORKING IN THE TB SPACE UNDER THE STOP TB PARTNERSHIP GLOBAL

The Developing Country NGO Delegation has been awarded as the best constituency within the Global category of delegations in the TB space under the Stop TB Partnership. The award was given to the delegation during the National TB Conference held in Abuja, Nigeria from the 10-12 December, 2024.

The conference which took place at the trade fair centre in Abuja brought together an assemblage of over two thousand participants including experts from 60 countries for the sharing of knowledge, best practices, insights, innovations to contribute to the shaping of evidence-based policies in TB control.

The conference among others enabled the showcasing of ground-breaking research and innovations, improving linkage between TB and other social determinants of health and engaging experts across sectors to drive meaningful engagements.

Some highlights of the conference included plenary sessions, panel discussions, exhibition booths and some notable community engagement breakthroughs.

The Developing Country NGO is a constituency on the global board of the Stop TB Partnership and it is made up of various organizations from low-and middle-income countries.

The award was received by the Constituency Focal Person, Abudu Imoro on behalf of the delegation at the trade fair conference centre.
